European Benzene imports grow in Q2 2011

"Romania Oil & Gas Report Q3 2011" is now available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 04, 2011 - This latest Romania Oil & Gas Report from BMI forecasts that the country will account for 3.56% of Central and Eastern European (CEE) regional oil demand by 2015, while providing just 0.47% of supply. CEE regional oil use of 5.4mn b/d in 2001 rose to an estimated 6.1mn b/d in 2010 and should increase to around 6.9mn b/d by 2015. Regional oil production was 8. 9mn b/d in 2001 and averaged an estimated 13.8mn b/d in 2010. It is set to rise to 15.1mn b/d by 2015. Oil exports are growing steadily, because demand growth is lagging the pace of supply expansion. In 2001, the region was exporting an average of 3.5mn b/d. This total rose to an estimated 7.7mn b/d in 2010 and is forecast to reach 8.1mn b/d by 2015. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have the greatest production growth potential, although Russia will remain the most important exporter.

The region consumed an estimated 637bcm of natural gas in 2010, with demand of 737bcm targeted for 2015, representing 15.8% growth. Production of an estimated 773bcm in 2010 should reach 963bcm in 2015, which implies net exports rising from an estimated 136bcm in 2010 to 226bcm by the end of the period. Romania's estimated share of 2010 regional gas consumption was 2.13%, while its share of production is put at 1.36%. By 2015, its share of demand is forecast to be 2.20%, with the country accounting for 0.86% of supply.

Oil demand could potentially grow at 3.0% per annum, rising to 247,000b/d by 2015. In spite of greater efforts by the OMV-backed national oil company Petrom, we see domestic oil production slipping from an estimated 93,000b/d in 2010 to 71,000b/d by 2015. This implies rising import levels, with volumes up to 176,000b/d by 2015. Natural gas consumption of an estimated 13.6bcm in 2010 is expected to reach 16.2bcm by 2015. Romania's gas production is forecast to slip to no more than 8.3bcm by 2015, providing an import requirement of at least 7.9bcm.

Between 2010 and 2020, we forecast an increase in Romanian oil consumption of 35.7%, with import volumes rising steadily from an estimated 118,000b/d to 238,000b/d by the end of the 10-year forecast period. Domestic production is forecast to fall from an estimated 93,000b/d to 48,000b/d during the period. Gas consumption is expected to rise to 19.2bcm by 2020, which will be met by 13.2bcm of imports. Romania holds sixth place, above Ukraine, in BMI's composite Business Environment Ratings (BERs), which combine upstream and downstream scores. It holds seventh place, below Bulgaria, in BMI's updated upstream ratings. Its gas production growth outlook, asset maturity and underdeveloped competitive landscape work against the country and are exacerbated by poor country risk factors. There is some scope for Romania to overtake Bulgaria in the rankings, but Russia and Turkey are likely to remain out of reach. Romania is above the mid-point of the table in BMI's downstream ratings, with a few high scores but progress from its current joint fifth-place ranking rather unlikely. The country achieves decent scores for refining capacity, oil and gas demand and retail site helicop ter technology intensity.

Bespoke Solutions Highlight Thorworld's Expertise in Solving Loading and Unloading Problems

The process begins by visiting the site and planning an appropriate installation, tailored to the specific customer requirements and space available. Typical real-life applications have included a fixed loading ramp, incorporating an existing concrete ramp onto which a yardramp needed to be adjoined, and a warehouse where extremely limited space necessitated developing a ramp that could be moved sideways for storage once the loading operation was completed.

Thorworld's design team creates a blueprint using 3D CAD visualisation, to show the customer what the finished installation will look like and to confirm that the intended solution is practical and cost-effective. Given the unique nature of each bespoke product, this provides the designers with rewarding technical challenges that, in turn, provoke new ideas for product development.

The solution for the fixed loading ramp was a cut-down version of Thorworld's 6 tonne capacity, Type 10 mobile yardramp, which needed to be carefully redesigned to fit flush with an existing concrete ramp, in order to provide a consistent gradient. A counterbalanced drawbridge leveller then spans the gap to the vehicle, and allows a wide range of vehicles to be served due to its 350mm height variation. The leveller was also fitted with collapsible handrails to provide a safe, efficient workspace and, when not in use, the leveller is stored in an upright position.

Similarly, with the very tight space constraints, the concept devised for the sideways ramp solution involved modifying Thorworld's Deluxe 10,000Kg capacity Type 7 yardramp, by fitting an additional set of wheels that were orientated perpendicular to the normal direction of travel. This enables quick and easy sideways movement of the ramp for storage when not in use.

The design stage is enhanced by extensive testing to ensure that the desired equipment will be robust enough to withstand regular warehouse usage. "Equipment gets very robust treatment during loading and unloading, so we design and build hard-wearing industrial kit that will provide long-term reliability," explains John Meale. Methods include Finite Element Analysis and, where possible, physical testing.

Once Thorworld and the customer are happy with the proposals, manufacturing is conducted at the company's Chesterfield facility. This is where Thorworld� Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi ��s build team confirms its ingenuity in being able to meet the often leftfield concepts devised by the designers so that customer needs can be fully met, if not exceeded.

For the sideways yardramp, one particular challenge was to build one set of wheels on telescopic legs. This allowed use of the ramp in a traditional manner, but ensured that the ramp could then be lowered onto the perpendicular set of wheels to push/pull sideways for storage.

Installation is another cruc trash bins ial part of any bespoke project because Thorworld must accommodate the customer's regular working patterns into its schedule. For the fixed ramp application involving the existing concrete ramp, the installation was completed within a single day to minimise disruption to the customer's logistics operations.

But, with Thorworld, it doesn't end there. Service and maintenance contracts for Thorworld equipment provide a comprehensive aftercare package that delivers long-term peace of mind through regular maintenance and an extended warranty. "We're confident in the success of our bespoke applications but, as with any industrial equipment, it pays to properly and regularly maintain it in order to avoid costly downtime," John Meale explains.

Thorworld also offers full operator training as part of the overall project management. John Meale concludes: "The nature of bespoke solutions is that even experienced loading bay operators will be unfamiliar with the new equipment. Our training programme takes into account the specifics of the solution to ensure that customers learn the safest and most efficient way to use it."

Asia Carbon Releases Shareholder Letter

Dear Shareholders:

I am pleased to report that Asia Carbon continues to perform well in 2011, maintaining the trends that were established in the 4th quarter of 2010, and we have seen material improvements in both revenue and income. Demand for our newest product, N220-W, has been strong and we expect this to continue as China's economic growth persists, particularly in the automotive and related sectors.

Annual car sales are expected to exceed 20 million units in China by 2015, according to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the demand for tires is expected to follow suit. China's Rubber Industry Association reports approximately 404 million tires were sold in 2010; with the demand for replacement tires at about twice the level of that for new vehicle tires. While China has become the world's largest producer of automobiles and tires, we believe the full potential of its vehicle market is yet to develop, and we hope to participate fully in this growth.

As we reported in our quarterly report on Form 10-Q filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission on August 12, 2011, Asia Carbon generated $26.94 million in revenues during the first six months of 2011, more than twice the $11.15 million for the first six months in 2010.  Net income for the six month period was $4.09 million in 2011 as compared to $695,196 during the same period of 2010.

I believe the Company's success is largely attributable to our dedicated management and staff, who remains focused on one thing: establishing Asia Carbon as a leading provider of high quality carbon black in China. DSV steps up graduate recruitment for sales positions

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 18, 2011 - DSV Road and DSV Solutions in the UK have just completed their first recruitment programme aimed at graduates.  They were so impressed with the calibre of the candidates that they have selected 12 graduate Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi s, increasing the sales team by 40%.

"We were initially offering six positions, but decided to increase that after seeing the high quality of the candidates at the assessment day," explains Chris Malyon, Director Sales and Marketing. Ten of the graduates were taken on by DSV Road with the other two joining DSV Solutions.

Mr Malyon explains that the subject of a candidate's degree was not the most crucial criteria for selection. "We are looking for people who understand how to relate well to clients and potential clients – listening to them and being able to assess their requirements and needs."

Some of the 12 graduates are filling existing vacancies, while new roles are created for the others. "We are focussing on organic growth which is key to our success in this area, and a catalyst for future success. We are sure that these graduates will develop into top sales people," says Mr Malyon.

DSV worked with the recruitment agency Pareto Law, a graduate sales specialist, which selected 45 potential candidates for the assessment day.

The graduates, who begin working at DSV in September, will be given 13 days training by Pareto as well as immediate inclusion in the DSV Sales Academy. They will be taught all aspects of sales, such as presentation skills, client-needs analysis and booking meetings.

Despite Recent Dips In the Price Of Oil, Demand Increases Through 2012 May Outpace Supply

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 18, 2011 - Oil prices rose on Friday in continued volatile trading as stronger equities markets and data showing higher U.S. retail sales in July provided a boost, but a tumble in consumer sentiment capped crude's gains. The driving forces of the oil market—the U.S. and China—appear to be stalling at the same time. Recent oil demand data has shown that oil demand in both countries is coming in below expectations. China's consumption is growing more slowly and U.S. demand is shrinking. Bearing in mind that the U.S. is the world's largest user of oil and China the fastest growing consumer, this scenario indicates the recent drop of more than 10% in oil prices may only be the beginning. Asia Carbon Industries Inc. Reports 2nd Quarter Financial Results Sales Up 131%, Net Income Up 424%

("Asia Carbon", or the "Company") today announced its earnings for the quarter ended June 30, 2011. The Company, whose shares trade in the U.S. under the stock symbol "ACRB", filed its q trash bins uarterly report on Form 10-Q with the Securities and Exchange Commission on August 12, 2011.

Highlights of Second Quarter 2011 Financials

•   Revenues for the second quarter of 2011 increased 131% to $13.5 million in 2011 from $5.86 million for the same period in 2010.

•   Gross profit increased 272% to $2.95 million in the second quarter of 2011 from $0.79 million for the same period in 2010.

•   Net income for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 increased 424% to $1.98 million in 2011 from $0.37 million for the same period in 2010.

•   Earnings per share were at $0.04 for the three months ended June 30, 2011, compared to $0.01 for the same period in 2010.

•   EPS of $0.04 for third consecutive quarter.

•   Weighted average basic shares outstanding for the second quarter in 2011 were 50,608,077, a 3% increase, as compared to 49,056,223 for the same period in 2010.

Sales for the three months ended June 30, 2011 totaled $13,500,872, an increase of $7,645,793 or 131%, compared to $5,855,079 for the three months ended June 30, 2010.  The increase in sales was primarily attributed to sales of two products; N220-W, the Company's wet process product and naphthalene oil, a byproduct of the manufacturing process. Together, these products accounted for approximately 72% of total increase in sales in the three months ended June 30, 2011.

During the three months ended June 30, 2011, the Company sold 5,700 metric tons of N220-W, generating revenue of $6,295,254, and 510 metric tons naphthalene oil generating $459,171 in revenue for the three months ended June 30, 2011.

The remaining 28% increase in sales was attributable to the increased unit sales price for its carbon black products. The average unit sales price for Asia Carbon's carbon black products was $1,027 per metric ton during the second quarter of 2011, an increase of $204 per ton, or 25%, from $823 per ton during the second quarter of 2010.

Gross profits for the three months ended June 30, 2011 were $2,948,578, an increase of $2,155,531, or 272%, compared to $793,047 in th garbage compactor review e comparable period of 2010. The gross profit margin was 22% of revenues for the quarter, as compared to 14% for the second quarter of 2010. The increase is attributable mainly to the superior margins of the wet production line and naphthalene byproduct.

The Company's net income was $1,981,440 for the three months ended June 30, 2011, an increase of $1,603,512, or 424%, compared to $377,928 in the comparable period of 2010.

Mr. Zito is the owner of Zito and Associates Industrial Sales, an international distribution company, specializing in Machine shops, Fabricators, Gears, Blanks, and Patterns. He holds over 26 years of experience, representing specialty lines for different manufacturers internationally. At the present time, he is searching for new manufacturers of large metal forgings, large foundry, steel, stainless and castings, that go above the norm in terms of diameters.

During the economic downturn, he pursued a career in insurance and later established his own company within the raw materials industry, Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi when trash policies began to infiltrate the insurance industry. He has received a number of honors and awards, while maintaining his affiliation rc helicopter market place with the Knights of Columbus as a third-degree grand knight, through Council No. 2875, since 1975.
